Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yoga Science (BNYS) is an undergraduate course in the field of medicine. Naturopathy is a system of man building in harmony with the constructive principles of Nature.

It is drugless, non-invasive rational and evidence based system of medicine imparting treatment with natural elements based on the theory of vitality, theory of  toxemia, theory of self– healing capacity of the body. Yoga is an ancient art which includes meditation and exercises to help you improve flexibility and breathing, decrease stress, and maintain health.

About the Course.

Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yoga Science (BNYS) is a Degree Graduation Course Programme in Indian Alternative Medicine. The duration of the course is 4 ½ years. After completion of the course, the candidate has to undergo one-year compulsory internship program in the institution itself. It covers the study of both Naturopathy Medicine and Modern Medicine as Integrative Medicine and Therapeutic Yoga or Yoga Medicine MD (Naturopathy Medicine), MD (Yoga Medicine ) and MD (Accu Medicine ) and pg Diploma like DGO., DCH., DEM., DPM.

 Eligibility Criteria.

  • The candidate who have completed their intermediate class studies are eligible to apply for bachelor course in Naturopathy and Yogic Science. The qualification must be obtained from a reputed educational institution with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects.
  • The candidate should also possess at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination to apply for the same. Institutions running under government offer relaxation of marks for candidates belonging to reserved classes.
  • According to recent changes, in few college of AYUSH students taking admission BHMS, BAMS and BUMS will have to take up NEET exams.


Admission to the course is offered on the basis of the marks obtained in the XII class studies. Generally there is direct admission to colleges, Entrance test in some cases. Notification regarding admissions will be issued in the official portal of the institution that offers the course. The candidate can gather important information regarding the admission details as well as the application procedure regarding the course. The form obtained from the website should be filled up correctly and should be submitted to the concerned address, before last date mentioned.
