MP BE Counselling 2018 is going to be conducted by The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh. The counselling process is conducted every year. MP BE Counselling 2018 is conducted via online. The aspirants have to register online on their official website. The selection is done on the basis of marks of aspirants scored in JEE mains and other entrance exam. The MP BE Counselling 2018 is done in the month of June. The dates are yet to be declared.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria must be followed by a student to be eligible for taking part in the process of MP BE Counselling 2018.

  • The aspirants must be a citizen of India.
  • The aspirants must have cleared JEE mains 2018.
  • The aspirant must have passed 12th board exam of M.P. or many other recognized board.
  • The aspirant of general category must have passed with 45% marks.
  • The aspirant of SC/ST category must have passed 12th with 40 % marks.
  • The aspirant must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as his compulsory subjects in 12th board.
  • The optional subject that a student can have are Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or Computer Science.
  • The student must be citizen of M.P.

MP BE Counselling & Seat Allotment 2018 Procedure

The process of MP BE Counselling 2018 is given below in detail:
Step 1 – Registration & Online verification of documents
For taking part in the MP BE Counselling 2018 the aspirants has to first of all register himself online on the official website. There, he have to verify his document online. This means he have to upload the scanned copies of the required document. The document required for verification are mentioned below:

  • Class X mark sheet
  • Class XII mark sheet
  • Reserve Category Certificate for SC/ST/OBC (If applicable)
  • MP Domicile Certificate (If applicable)
  • Family Income Certificate for TFW & OBC category candidates.

Two types of slip will be generated for aspirant who register themselves online and also verifies the required document online. If any aspirant only register himself online, and does not do the process of online document verification; then he has to appear at one of the help center for offline document verification.

Step 2 – Choice filling and part payment of tuition fee
After registration for MP BE Counselling 2018 and document verification, one has to fill the choices of college and courses in his preferred order and submit it. Before submitting he can change his choices or order of his preference as he wants. Aspirant can make as many as many choices he can. After he cannot change hi choices in any case.

The aspirant has to pay an amount of 1530 rupees summed of counselling fee and tuition fee, during the process of submission. This is non- refundable fee which can be paid by online mode or via offline mode as cash at the help center.

  • Counselling Fee – Rs. 400
  • Part Tuition Fee – Rs. 1,000
  • Portal Fee – Rs. 130

Step 3 – Seat allotment

Aspirants will be allotted seat according to the merit list. The merit list will be declared on the basis of choices made by aspirants, availability of seat and JEE mains 2018 marks.
Step 4 – Reporting, document verification and admission in allotted institute
The aspirants will have to report to the allotted college for in person verification of the document. They have to pay the admission fee if they want to take admission in the allotted college.
If aspirants are not satisfied with seat allotted

  • Upgradation of seat:

Aspirants who have cleared JEE mains and are not satisfied with their seat can choose this option. This option is not available to the aspirants of other qualifying exam.

  • Internal branch sliding:

Aspirants who have got a seat in a college and they want to change their branch in which seats vacant and drop out. Then they can do by giving an amount of Rs. 100.
