Electronics Engineering term denotes a broad engineering field that covers important sub-fields such as analogue Electronics, Digital Electronics, Consumer Electronics, Embedded system and Power Electronics. The course deals with implementation of applications, principles and algorithms developed within many related fields.
This discipline mainly focuses on the study of electromagnetic spectrum in a broad way and is related to the application of electronic devices like integrated circuits, transistors etc. Students learn to design electronic circuits, computer systems and also develop control systems. It also deals with the design and application of circuitry and equipment for power generation and distribution, machine control, and communications.
ABOUT THE COURSE
BE/B.Tech in Electronics Engineering is a four-year undergraduate program. This is further divided into sub-disciplines which include power, control, electronics, microelectronics and Signal Processing, Telecommunications, Instrumentation, and Computers. One can pursue M.Tech in Electronics Engineering after successful completion of BE/B.Tech.
B.Tech in electronics engineering is the one of the most sought Engineering Discipline. Admissions are done through entrance test. Students can apply for JEE Main 2018 after finishing 10+2 level exam in order to take admission in undergraduate engineering courses. Students who aspires to take admission in IITs or NITs are required to clear the JEE Advanced 2018 exam. Students should have qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2018) for admission in postgraduate engineering courses. Admissions are also taken on the basis of entrance test conducted by various state level and university exams.
For UG: The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination from CBSE or any other equivalent examination board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects. The candidates should also fulfill minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of the subjects.
For PG: The candidate should have a B.Tech degree with a minimum passing percentage in an aggregate of the subjects studied at the degree level.
