CLAT 2018 Second Allotment List has been released on 19th June 2018. Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level law entrance exam. CLAT is conducted every year by one of the 18 National Law Universities (NLUs) of India. Through CLAT examination, candidates can get admission into integrated LL.B. and LL.M. programmes. CLAT counselling 2018

The candidates who clears CLAT 2018 will be invited for the counselling. The counselling enables the candidates to get admission in UG and PG courses of all law university taking part in this test. In this article we will be discussing about CLAT Result 2018 in details.

Schedule of CLAT Counselling 2018

Here we are providing the official schedule for the centralized counselling:

Payment of full fees by the candidates whose name appear for the first time in the third allotment list to the allotted Universities 28th – 30th June 2018
Receiving status of admissions from the participating NLU (s) in the CLAT office 4th July 2018
Closing of admission process 6th July 2018

Procedure of CLAT Counselling 2018

First allotment listrelease

  • First of all a list will be released university wise.
  • That list will be created on the basis of the merit of candidates.
  • This list will be published on the official website of the CLAT.

Payment and exercising of options (CLAT Counselling round 1)

  • The counselling will be online and in accordance with the position of a candidate in merit list, he would be called.
  • There is counselling fee of Rs. 50,000 which each candidates need to pay.
  • Candidates who are unable to make the counselling fee, their name will be abandoned from the merit list.
  • The seat will be reserved for the candidates if and only if he pays their respective counselling fee.
  • This fee will be transferred to the college, the candidates will take admission in.

Release of second allotment list (CLAT Counselling round 2)

  • A second allotment list will be released by the CLAT office.
  • This will contain the names of those candidates who have already paid their counselling fees and reserved their seat.
  • A list with the waitlisted candidates will also be released excluding the abandoned candidates
  • This selected candidates need to pay their counselling fee.
  • If they don’t, again they will be dropped from the list.

Release of third allotment list (CLAT Counselling round 3)

  • A third allotment list will be released by the CLAT office.
  • This will contain the names of those candidates who have already paid their counselling fees and reserved their seat in the first and second counselling list.
  • A list with the waitlisted candidates will also be released excluding the abandoned candidates
  • This selected candidates need to pay their counselling fee.
  • If they don’t, again they will be dropped from the list.

Withdrawal from admission process

  • In this step candidates can back out from taking admission.
  • They need to back out in the given time period.
  • Last year, Rs. 10,000 was deducted from the deposited counselling fee for backing out.

Release of fourth allotment list (CLAT Counselling round 4)

  • A fourth allotment list will be released by the CLAT office.
  • This will contain the names of those candidates who have already paid their counselling fees and reserved their seat in the first, second and third counselling list.
  • To all these selected candidate a seat of NLU will be provided
  • A list with the waitlisted candidates will also be released excluding the abandoned candidates
  • This selected candidates need to pay their counselling fee.
  • If after getting selected in this list a candidate fails to pay the counselling fee then he can pay the whole fee at the time of admission.

Documents Required

In this section the document required at the time of admission is given. All the document needs to be present at the time of admission. In case a candidate fails to present any of the document mentioned below will, then his admission won’t be considered.

  • Class 10th and 12th mark sheet for proof of date of birth
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Specially-abled certificate
  • NRI certificate
  • Domicile certificate
