JEE Main 2018 Cut Off

JEE Main 2018 Cut Off will be declared along with the declaration of JEE Main result on April 30. Apart from the qualifying cutoff for JEE Advanced 2018, Joint Admission Board (JAB) will release JEE Main 2018 cutoff for admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).

The JEE Main exam is counted as one of the most famous examinations all around the country. At present, engineering courses are in trend among the students, that’s why a large number of students appear for this exam. Through this exam, candidates can get admissions in reputed engineering colleges of the country.

The JEE Main cutoff 2018 is the closing rank at which admission to a particular B.Tech programme at a particular institute is closed. This means that candidates having a lower rank than JEE Main 2018 cutoff (for a particular course/institute) will not be considered for admission. In other words, candidates have to secure a rank or JEE Main cutoff 2018 which is above the closing rank.

JEE Main Cut off Trend Analysis

Looking at the table above, we can see that JEE Main cutoff has been witnessing a decline year after year since 2015. The cutoff of JEE Main 2017 is the lowest in the last five years. The steep fall in JEE Main cutoff is attributed the increasing difficulty level of the question papers of JEE Main and the increase in number of qualifying candidates for appearing in JEE Advanced over the years.

JEE Main 2018 Result

JEE Main 2018 result will be announced on 30th April 2018 (for paper 1) and 31st May 2018 (for paper 2). Candidates who will appear in the JEE Main 2018 exam can check their results via online mode. Result will not be provided through offline mode. Candidates are required to enter their Roll Number and Date of Birth to check the result. After checking the result must take printout of the result for further use.

JEE Main Counselling 2018

JEE Main 2018 counselling will be started from the month of June 2018. Counselling for JEE Main aspirants will be organized by the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) to offer admission in NITs, IIITs & other institutions. Counselling process will comprises of various steps like registration, choice filling & locking, provisional seat allotment, seat acceptance, fee payment, document verification and reporting to the assigned college.
