NEET  Result  2018  has been released on 4th June 2018. NEET stand for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. NEET is conducted, regulated and organized by CBSE (central board of Secondary Education). Every year CBSE conducts this medical entrance test. NEET is a national level entrance test which enable a candidate to get admission in MBBS and BDS courses. NEET enables a student to get admission in any medical college across India. After NEET has commenced on 6th may 2018, student are awaiting for the result. In this article, we will discuss about NEET Result 2018 in detail.

How to download NEET Result 2018

In this section of this article, we are going to guide you to download the Result.

  • Click on the link of the official website
  • After clicking on the link, a login page will appear.
  • You have to enter you date of birth and roll number.
  • Just below it, you will see a login button. Click on it.
  • The page which will now appear will contain your result.
  • Save it and take a print out of it. Keep the result safe for further uses in admission procedure.

Method of tie-breaking of NEET Result 2018

The admission of candidates will be taken on the basis of the marks scored by them in AIIMS 2018 and the merit percentile cut off. The merit percentile will be created by AIIMS. The seat will allotted to any candidates on the basis of this.

If two candidates got same percentile, then their order will be determined by the tie-breaking factors as mentioned below:

Percentile in Biology: If percentile of candidates are same, then percentile of biology will be considered first. Aspirants with higher Biology percentile will be placed higher in the order of merit.

Percentile in Chemistry: If percentile of biology is same, then candidates’ percentile in Chemistry will be taken into consideration. Aspirants with higher Chemistry percentile will be placed higher in the order of merit
Percentile in Physics: If the tie still remains, then percentile of Physics of candidates will be considered. Aspirants with higher Physics percentile will be placed higher in the order of merit.

Least negative marks:  If the tie still remains, then the candidates with least negative marks  will be considered. Aspirants with higher Physics percentile will be placed higher in the order of merit.

Age:  Even after this tie remains, then age of aspirants are taken into consideration. Senior aspirants in terms of age will be placed higher in order of merit.

NEET Counselling Procedure 2018

NEET Counselling 2018 is called AIQ. AIQ stands for All INDIA QUOTA. Through AIQ a student can get admission in any medical college if he had clear NEET.  The NEET Counselling 2018 is based on NEET Result 2018.

  • Counselling Registration

For participating in the NEET Counselling 2018, the candidates have to first of all register themselves for this on the official website of AIIMS.

  • Choice preferences (the choice of AIIMS institutions)

After registering of NEET Counselling 2018 , they need to login in their account where they can made their choice of preferred institute and else. When the candidates would have finally submitted their choices, they cannot make any change in them afterward.

  • Seat Allotment Result first round

Seats will be allotted to the candidates according to their preference and rank in the merit list of the NEET Counselling 2018.

  • Acceptance or Rejection of Allotted seat

After the allotment of the seat to a candidate through the counselling process they have to make a choice on the website. Here we have to give some kind of cases and the outcome also.

  • Actively Refuse the seat

If you have been allotted a seat in any of the college, and you would not like to take an admission it then you need to login in your account and actively refuse it. It is to be done so, when NEET allots seat to a candidate it assumes that he/ she shall take admission it.


  • Accept the seat and take admission

If you want to accept the allotted seat and take admission in it then, you should do it by ‘reporting at the allotted college’ and submit the required document and other payables.  You can also participate in the second round of NEET Counselling 2018. But they have to clarify this also on the official website.

  • New Registration (For Second Round): The candidates who somehow were unable to register for first round of NEET Counselling 2018 AIQ (All India Quota) will be first given chance to register themselves. After this registration is complete, second round of Counselling 2018 will start.
  • Fresh entry of choices and locking (second Round): As done in the first round, candidates have to enter their fresh choices of colleges and courses and lock it again.

Seat Allotment Result first round: as the first round, seat will be allotted to candidate in the second round. After the declaration of the second round AIQ. Seats will be allotted to the candidates according to their preference and rank in the merit list of the NEET Counselling 2018.
