NTA 2019 Exam – National Testing Agency Notification 2019, JEE (Main), NEET, CTET, NET

NTA 2019 Exam  : National Testing Agency (NTA) will be replacing the competitive exams related functions of CBSE and will conduct NEET and JEE Main exams twice in a year from next year. NTA 2019 Exam will also conduct UGC NET, CMAT and GPAT, later two were used to be held by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). So far, The Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE has been organising National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) on behalf of the Medical Council Of India and the Health Ministry and NET on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC).


Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main has been held by CBSE on behalf of Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry. JEE Main is being held as an entrance examination for admission to engineering courses and as also a screening test for JEE Advanced, its scores have been used for admission in institutes like IITs and NITs. NEET is national level medical entrance examination and its scores have been used for admission in medical and allied courses across the country.

 From now onwards, NTA will organise all the important entrance exams twice a year. While the Agency is assigned the responsibility of conducting the exams, it has no authority to declare the ranking of the students. It will announce the percentile score of the candidates, and based on that the concerned institute may or may not consider taking admission.

NTA 2019 to take Over Most CBSE-conducted Entrance Tests:

From the academic year 2018-19, the agency will take over some of the important entrance examinations organised by CBSE. Prakash Havadekar, the Union Minister for Human Resource, told TOI, “barring the board examinations (Class X and XII), rest of the examinations conducted by the CBSE will be taken over the NTA in phase manner”. The agency would relieve AICTE, CBSE and other statutory bodies from the duties of managing and organising various entrance tests like UGC NET, NEET, JEET, etc.

The Press Information Bureau Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development in its notification has stated that the National Testing Agency “would initially conduct those entrance examinations which are currently being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The examinations will be conducted in online mode twice a year in order to give adequate opportunity to candidates to bring out their best”.

NTA 2019 Exam List and Schedule:

University Grants Commission (UGC)’s National Eligibility Test (NET) would be conducted in December by National Testing Agency (NTA). The detailed notification is yet to be released by the organisers, but it can be expected any time. NTA NEET 2019 Eligibility

The applicant must qualify minimum eligibility for National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET). Failing the minimum age limit, education qualification, number of attempts or producing wrong form details leads to cancellation of candidature.

NEET 2019 Age Limit

  • Minimum Age:The minimum age limit is 17 years as on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
  • Maximum Age:The maximum age limit is 25 years (for General and OBC candidates) and 30 years (for other categories).

Education Qualification

The applicant must check their eligibility before NEET 2019 registration. The minimum percentage required is according to the category (OBC/ ST/ SC/ PH) of the candidate. The minimum qualification is 12th (Senior Secondary) pass from the state board or from the recognized University. The subject in Class XII must be Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology or any other elective subject with English. Also check the minimum percentage or marks required in the board examination.

Physics and Chemistry Marks (each): 50%
(b) Backward Class and Backward Class:

  • Nationality:Candidates must be an Indian
  • OCI(Overseas Citizen of India) candidates are also eligible to apply.
  • J&K:Such candidates are eligible for All India 15% quota only (also eligible for admission in AFMC, Pune) on the basis of self-declaration.

NTA NEET Exam Pattern 2019:

How well-versed are you with the latest exam pattern of NTA National Eligibility cum Entrance Test? The exam will have questions from Physics, Chemistry and Botany (Biology and Zoology). There’s negative marking scheme. 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. For each correct answer, students will get 4 marks.

  • Mode of Exam:The exam will be held in online mode.
  • Type of Question: Students are going to get objective type questions.
  • Total Questions:There will be 180 marks in total. Medical aspirants need to answer all the questions for 720 marks (total).
  • Question Paper:The exam will be done in 4 sections – Chemistry, Physics, Botany & Zoology
  • Negative Marking Scheme:Each correct answer carries 4 marks. Failing to provide correct answers will result in the deduction of marks.
  • In Case of Un-attempted Questions:Confused about the answer? Just leave it and proceed with others. This is the best way to not deduct marks. Un-attempted questions will carry zero marks.
  • Language:The NTA NEET 2019 exam will have questions in 10 languages. They are English, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Assamese, Kannada, Urdu, Gujarati, Tamil and Marathi.

NTA 2019 Exam Schedule Details of JEE Main

National Testing Agency(NTA) – JEE (Main) 2019:

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), another national level entrance test, will be conducted by the National Testing Agency from now onwards. If the latest news is to be believed, the agency will seek applications from engineering aspirants for its first exam in December 2018. Moreover, the conducting body will be responsible for the JEE (Main) 2019 and will issue Information Bulletin carrying all important information like notification, eligibility, exam pattern, syllabus and many more.

NTA JEE Main 2019 Exam Pattern:
