Admissions for Law courses:-
As of 2012, admission to LLB and LLM in most of the colleges/universities in India is based on performance in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). 12th standard student with any stream (Science stream/ Commerce stream / Arts stream) can go for law courses. In some of the traditional universities, the admission is done on the basis of an admission test to the constituent law college or a common admission test for its affiliated colleges. Students who wish to pursue law courses from foreign Universities/institutions can apply for LSAT. To practice in law profession, it is required for the candidates to qualify All India Bar Examination (AIBE 2018).

- 5-year LLB entrance exams:
Any student who has passed Class 12 with 50% marks (45 % for reserved categories).
A candidate was needed to be below 20 years of age as on July 1 to be eligible for CLAT
- Three-year LLB entrance exams:
Any student who has completed graduation degree with 45% marks (40% for reserved category)
A candidate must not be less than 17 years of age on the date of application.
